What is ERP Integration?

ERP integration connects an external application to an ERP system via API, allowing data to flow automatically between systems without manual re-entry or file exports.

Explanation

ERP integration eliminates the data transfer step that is the source of much manual accounting work. Without integration, data must be exported from one system, manipulated in Excel, and manually imported or keyed into another. With API integration, data flows directly: an invoice processed in an automation platform is pushed to the ERP automatically, correctly coded and formatted. ERP integrations typically require API credentials, field mapping configuration, and error handling setup. Once live, they run continuously, keeping systems in sync without manual intervention.
